Buttermilk Syrup - Jae

1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cube butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients except the vanilla.  Boil syrup for 5 minutes.  Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
