Gingersnaps - Aunt Jae

1 ½ cup shortening     
2 cup sugar          
Cream butter & sugar                             

add:
2 eggs
½ cup molasses
Mix until blended.

add:
4 cup sifted flour  

1 ½ tsp. salt                                                    
2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon  Mix until blended.

 Make into balls size of walnuts.  Roll balls in sugar & place on greased cookie sheets.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes
