Orange Fruit Cocktail Crush - Grandma Ellen

2 cups sugar
4 cups water, boiling
1 cup pineapple, crushed
4 bananas, mashed
1 cup orange juice
1 lemon, juiced
1/2 cup maraschino cherries, chopped

Dissolve sugar in boiling water for 2 minutes.  Allow to cool.
Add pineapple, bananas, orange juice, lemon juice, and maraschino cherries.

Freeze over might in a pan about 3 inches deep.  Remove 45 minutes before serving. Crush up before serving.

This may be served plain or in sherbet dishes with a cherry on top.  This is also good with ginger ale poured over the slush.
