Potato Soup - Aunt Jae

¼ cup butter
1/3 cup flour
3 cup water
4 chicken bullion cubes
3 cup milk
5 – 6 medium potatoes (preferably red)
salt, pepper, garlic to taste
1 – 1 /12 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
bacon bits

Melt butter, add flour till bubbly.  Whisk in water, bullion & milk till boils stirring constantly.  Add potatoes & cheese & bacon if desired.
