Chicken Cordon Bleu - Grandma Ellen

4 whole chicken breasts, halved
8 ham, slim slices cooked
1 cooked ham, thin slices
8 Swiss cheese, small fingers 
thyme or rosemary
salt
pepper
1/2 cup crushed corn flakes
3/4 cup melted margarine

Place each piece of chicken between two sheets plastic wrap.
Pound meat with a mallet to about 1/8 inch thick.
On each ham slice place a finger of cheese. sprinkle lightly with seasonings.
Roll ham and cheese, then roll into chicken breast. Tuck in ends and seal well.
May tie ends or use toothpicks.
Dip each roll in melted butter, then roll in corn flake crumbs.
Place rolls in a9 x13 baking dish.

Bake uncovered @ 400 degrees F. about 40 min. until chicken is golden brown.
Serve with Cordon Blue Sauce if desired.

Cordon Bleu Sauce


1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup sour cream
2 Tbs. lemon juice
 
Blend ingredients and heat. Serve 1/4 cup over each chicken roll.
