Ground Beef Stroganoff - Aunt Cindra

½ cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon butter
1 pound lean ground beef
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon MSG (optional)
¼ teaspoon paprika
1 cup sour cream, light
6 cups steamed rice or egg noodles


Brown meat.  Sauté onions and garlic in meat.  Stir in flour and seasoning.  Heat for about 2 minutes.  Add soup.  Simmer for about 10 minutes.  Stir in sour cream and heat. DO NOT BOIL.  Add a little milk if needed.  Serve over rice or noodles.
