1 1/3 cup sugar
1 1/3 cup light corn syrup
1 cup butter
16 ounce box of Chex cereal
1 cup peanuts, unblanched
4-5 cups coconut
1 cup pecans, broken (optional)
Mix sugar, corn syrup, and butter together in a large cooking pan and bring to a boil. Stir constantly. Boil for 4 minutes - NO LONGER.
In a large bowl, mix Chex, coconut, peanuts and pecans. Stir the hot mixture into the large bowl with a wooden spoon. Stir until all ingredients have been coated well. Lay out on wax paper to cool. Keep in and airtight container. ENJOY!
