Lime Slush - Grandma Ellen

This slush has been served for years in the Stringham family.  It has been served at many baby showers, wedding showers, family home evenings and luncheons.  We love it!  Try this treat when you are on a diet or have diabetes.  You can use sugar-free soda, Jell-O and Splenda. It tastes the same.

6 oz. pkg. lime gelatin
2 cups boiling water
2 cups cold water
46 ounce large can pineapple juice
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 cup sugar

Dissolve jello in boiling water and then add the cold water, pineapple juice, lemon juice and sugar.  Freeze to a slush, stirring every few hours.  If you do not stir the slush it will freeze up to firm and be more like a lime ice cube. You need to add air to it so you can spoon it out later.

Spoon into glasses and serve with 7-up or any other lemon lime
