Apple Crisp – Aunt Eve

5 pounds apples (McIntosh, Jonathon or another tart apple)                                                                                                    
1/8 cup lemon juice
¾ cup water
2 cups flour
1 1/8 cup sugar
6 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup margarine, cut in small cubes
1 ½ cup oatmeal

Peel and slice apples.  Place in a 9x13 inch baking dish.  Mix lemon juice and water. Toss to cover apples.  Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Topping:  Mix together flour, sugars, and oatmeal. Cut in margarine.  Spread over apples.


Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
