Christmas Layered Jell-O Salad - Grandma Ellen

6 ounce box cherry gelatin
6 ounce box lemon gelatin
8 ounce frozen dairy topping
1 can crushed pineapple
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1 bottle maraschino cherries, sliced
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

Dissolve cherry gelatin as directed in 2 cups boiling water. Add 2 cups cold water. Let set completely in a 9x13 glass dish. Layer in the following order whipped cream, cheese, pineapple, nuts and cherries on top. This will look very pretty through the top layer of gelatin.

Dissolve lemon gelatin as directed. Let it partially set.  This is very important. If it is not set enough the fillings will float to the top.  If it is too set, it will be not be smooth.  Carefully spoon the gelatin onto the salad. Set thoroughly.

Needs to be handled carefully with serving so it won't slide apart,  Looks beautiful and Christmassy.  Tastes good too.
